Life stories

Pierre

When Pierre arrived at the center, he had been suffering from a leg deformity for years. He could only stand in a crouched position and had great difficulty moving around. His legs were surgically straightened. He then underwent an intensive physical therapy program at the orthopedic center.

He now has a more active social life and can walk to high school. He is a gifted student. What he’ll end up doing for a living?

Richard

Richard, 23, used to work as a motorcycle taxi driver. He lost his left leg in a motorcycle accident. Unable to continue working in his former profession, he turned to OZO. The center helped him get a prosthesis, and he began an apprenticeship at a carpentry shop. His boss is a past patient of OZO who, among other things, received assistance in starting his own business.

André

André has been severely disabled since birth. He will never be able to live independently. His mother is solely responsible for him and his younger brother.

At the orthopedic center, she learned how to cope with her son’s disability and received a wheelchair for him. She also received financial assistance to purchase a small market stall. This allows her to earn a living while caring for her children.
